Academy Asia, has partnered with 5 Star Hotels and Resorts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shanghai / Shenzhen China and Singapore to provide further on-the-job activities to students on the hospitality industry. Through this partnership, students will be provided 6 months extensive training regarding the over-all activities within the identified hotel or resort.

Professional Certificate in International Hotel / Kitchen Skills and Operations

The externship program is a six (6) month hands-on, solid hotel based skills training in a deluxe / 5 Star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Shenzhen, Zuhai, China; trainees that will graduate from the program will receive two (2) qualifications:

  1. Certificate from the Identified Host Hotel
  2. Certificate from Tharshal Training Academy of Malaysia

For China externship, program duration can be extended up to twelve (12) months.


  1. Between 18-35 years of age
  2. Medically fit, free of contagious diseases e.g. tuberculosis
  3. Able to communicate both in oral and written English
  4. Currently enrolled or graduate of any hospitality related course
  5. Have no criminal records both in the Philippines and in Malaysia
  6. Physically fit to undergo rigorous hospitality externship / skills training
  7. Mentally fit, mature and professional
  8. Able to experience real world hotel setting

Documentation Requirements

  1. Eight (8) 2×2 colored photo
  2. Eight (8) 1×1 colored photo
  3. Four (4) passport size photo (3.5cm x 5.0cm Light blue background)
  4. Softcopy full-body picture
  5. Resume
  6. Medical clearance & certification (hepa, TB, x-ray)
  7. National clearance (NBI or police clearance, whichever is available)
  8. Education credentials (grade report or diploma, whichever is available)
  9. Enrolment application letter (outline objectives)
  10. Life and accident insurance
  11. Hospitalization insurance (waiver letter if unavailable)
  12. Copies of three (3) national identity card (includes residence address)
  13. Copy of passport (all pages)

Externship Program Inclusions
